Off the track
OTT retraining is at the heart of Fiore Hills. As a Queensland Racing Acknowledged Retrainer, we specialise in helping Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds transition into confident, well-rounded riding horses. Every program is tailored to the individual, with a patient, welfare-first approach that builds confidence, balance, and trust.
Customized Trainging and Development

At Fiore Hills, every horse’s program is designed around their individual needs. We work with a wide range of horses, from young prospects to seasoned competitors needing fine-tuning.
Our training includes:
• General schooling and development programs
• Strength and conditioning for performance horses
• Groundwork and handling for improved manners and trust
• Light rehabilitation and return-to-work support
• Short-term training blocks or ongoing schooling options
Each horse receives a structured plan, clear communication, and consistency — ensuring their body and mind develop together for long-term success.
Sales & Campaigning
Honest presentation, professional preparation, lasting results.
From initial schooling to final presentation, we manage every detail to ensure each horse is ready to shine.
Our services include:

• Clipping, grooming, and presentation
• Photo and video media preparation
• Ad creation and honest representation
• Campaigning and exposure at shows (where suitable)
We prepare horses that not only look exceptional but feel their best — thanks to correct feeding, fitness, and thoughtful handling.
OTTB Retraining
Guiding off-the-track Thoroughbreds toward confident new careers.
Every Thoroughbred deserves the opportunity to thrive beyond racing. We understand that no two horses are the same, which is why every retraining program is tailored to the individual, taking into account their racing history, temperament, physical development, and future goals.
Our retraining programs may include:
• Groundwork, long-reining, and ridden foundations
• Developing rhythm, balance, straightness, and correct contact
• Introducing poles, jumping, and new experiences at the horse’s pace
• Building confidence both at home and away from the property
• Nutrition, body condition, and management to support the horse’s transition
• Working alongside trusted professionals, including veterinarians, farriers, dentists, bodyworkers, and saddle fitters, to ensure every horse receives the care they need
Our goal is to produce a confident, relaxed, and rideable horse with the correct foundations to enjoy a successful second career, whether that is in competition, pleasure riding, or simply as a trusted partner.
Agistment
Quiet, care-focused agistment and spelling for horses in work or rest.
Our property provides a peaceful, professionally managed environment for performance horses and Thoroughbreds, including racehorses spelling, pre-trainers, and Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds. With a strong focus on welfare, nutrition, and individualised management, every horse receives attentive daily care and a consistent routine to support their health, development, and performance.
Our facilities include:
• 70 × 30 m arena with lighting
• 23 m sand, fully rubber-lined round yard with lights
• Full set of showjumping equipment
• On-property riding areas for hacking, fitness work, and exposure
• Undercover concrete wash bay with lights
• Large stables and adjoining day yards
• Private paddocks with shelters
• Large spelling paddock for suitable horses
Our agistment and spelling services include:
• Daily feeding and rug changes
• Individualised feed and nutrition programs
• Regular health and welfare checks
• Racehorse spelling and Thoroughbred management
• Optional groundwork, handling, exercise, and ridden work
• Regular communication and updates
